GAA little about me
I make software.
I like figuring things out.
Illustrated by a human, not generated by AI.
Software developer
I like understanding
how things work.
Then making them better.
Software developer building native Apple apps, Linux security systems, and full-stack web applications. Working across Swift, TypeScript, JavaScript, Rust, C, C++, Go, Java, Python, and SQL.
I build tools for problems I run into: managing Windows apps on a Mac, troubleshooting satellite connections, or keeping track of remote servers.
I work on both the interface and the code underneath it. That includes native desktop controls, network protocols, databases, and Linux packet filtering.

Languages and systems
01Native applications
Swift & Apple Platforms
Swift, SwiftUI, AppKit, and UIKit for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS. From Wine environment management in Nightcap to safe cleanup in Sweep and maritime tools in VSG OPS.
02Web & desktop interfaces
TypeScript & JavaScript
React and Next.js for full-stack web applications, Electron for BetterFLOW, and browser APIs for Brave Shields. Shared types connect interfaces to the systems behind them.
03Systems & performance
Rust, C & C++
Rust powers Nodelark’s desktop backend and the WebAssembly filtering engine in Brave Shields. C handles kernel-level filtering; C++ drives IPTV Multiviewer’s video-wall and monitoring tools.
04Services & data
Go, Java, Python & SQL
Go services and agents, Java application work, and Python automation. SQL across PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, MariaDB, and SQLite supports operational history, accounts, and application state.
05From packets to pictures
Networking & Diagnostics
WireGuard provisioning, SSH and remote-desktop sessions, multicast video, MPEG-TS diagnostics, and satellite link planning. Tools that make connectivity problems visible and actionable.
06Protection & resilience
Defensive Security
XDP/eBPF packet filtering, handshake validation, network hardening, encrypted credential storage, and role-based access. Security decisions belong in the architecture and the interface.
